Visit Avebury
You and I have been left valuable gifts by the ancients: gifts of wisdom, peace and bliss. To receive them, all we have to do is visit a sacred site, sit still, and meditate.
Avebury is a key destination for this type of work. This vast stone circle is rich in secrets. They are yours if you simply tune in.
Here is what you do.
Aim to visit at a quiet time, and visit a quiet part of the circle. (Try the north semi-circle at around 9 am.) Take a windproof/waterproof jacket. Take something waterproof to sit on.
Walk around your chosen part of the circle. Study the earth, the sky, the trees, and the stones. Go up to a stone and place your palms on it. Feel yourself connecting with the energies of the place.
Sit down comfortably, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing. Become fully present; notice the feel of the ground beneath you, the breeze against your skin, the warmth of the sun or the cool of the shade.
When your mind wanders, return to your breathing.
During a period of 20 to 30 minutes, you may feel deep peace, bliss and gain some truly amazing insights.
